The meeting announcement and call for papers was distributed on May 15, 2009 for the JANNAF 31st Exhaust Plume and Signatures Subcommittee Meeting. The meeting will be held Tuesday through Friday, October 20-23, 2009 at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio.
Attendance at this JANNAF meeting is restricted to U.S. citizens whose organizations are registered with an appropriately classified contract with the Defense Technical Information Center and certified for receipt of export-controlled technical data with the Defense Logistics Information Service.
The JANNAF Exhaust Plume and Signatures Subcommittee (EPSS) includes sessions on the phenomena associated with the exhaust from rockets, ramjets, space, and gun propulsion systems.

The Joint Army-Navy-NASA-Air Force (JANNAF) 56th JANNAF Propulsion Meeting / 39th Structures and Mechanical Behavior / 35th Propellant & Explosives Development and Characterization / 26th Rocket Nozzle Technology / 24th Safety & Environmental Protection / 17th Nondestructive Evaluation Subcommittee Joint Meeting will be held April 14-17, 2009 at the Renaissance Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bruce R. Askins, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Alabama is the Program Chair of this meeting. On Wednesday, April 15, Steve Cook, Project Manager for the NASA Ares vehicle will present the keynote address on the Ares I and Ares V Project as part of NASA's future in leading the support of the Nation's Vision for Exploration.

The Joint Army-Navy-NASA-Air Force (JANNAF) 6th Modeling and Simulation / 4th Liquid Propulsion / 3rd Spacecraft Propulsion Joint Subcommittee Meeting will be held Monday through Friday, December 8-12, 2008 at the Hilton Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Dr. James M. Haas, Air Force Research Laboratory, Edwards AFB, California will chair this year's meeting.
The JANNAF Interagency Propulsion Committee coordinates fundamental research, exploratory development, and advanced development programs; standardizes procedures for nomenclature; promotes and facilitates the exchange of technical information; and accomplishes problem solving in the areas of joint agency interest on propulsion systems for missiles, rockets, boosters, spacecraft, satellites, and guns. Modeling and Simulation Subcommittee activities include virtual engineering; integration of propulsion components and integration of propulsion systems with other vehicle systems; uncertainty assessment and management; and integrated vehicle health management. The Liquid Propulsion Subcommittee (LPS) addresses technical problems and issues of greatest national need associated with liquid propulsion systems. The Spacecraft Propulsion Subcommittee (SPS) addresses a full array of spacecraft propulsion technology interests including electric propulsion, advanced chemical propulsion, solar thermal propulsion, nuclear thermal, aerocapture, solar sails, and tether systems and advanced physics concepts.
