JANNAF May 2027 Meeting

The May 2027 JANNAF meeting will be held
Monday–Friday, 17–21 May 2027 in Huntsville, Alabama

Sessions will be held at the Huntsville Marriott at the Space and Rocket Center.

This meeting includes the:

  • 74th JANNAF Propulsion Meeting (JPM)
  • Programmatic and Industrial Base (PIB) Meeting
    and
  • 21st Modeling and Simulation (MSS)
  • 16th Liquid Propulsion (LPS)
  • 15th Spacecraft Propulsion (SPS)

The Call for Papers is now open!

JANNAF is organized into the Technical Committee and the Programmatic and Industrial Base Committee. The Call for Papers provides detail on which technical subcommittees are soliciting abstracts. If you are unsure of the most appropriate subcommittee or mission area to select for your work, feel free to contact us and we can help direct you to the right area.

Accepted papers will be published in the meeting proceedings within the JANNAF Digital Online Collection (JDOC) approximately 12 weeks after the meeting.

The U.S. DoW has provided travel approval guidance for JANNAF attendees.

Registration Rates

Registration fees are determined by your employment type and the date you submit your payment.

Regular registration rates

  • $1200 government
  • $1400 contractor
  • $550 student*

After 30 April 2027

Late registration rates

Government Purchase Order

Completed Govt. P.O.s must be received by 16 April 2027 to qualify for Early registration price, or 30 April 2027 to qualify for Regular registration price.

Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Cancellations received in writing on or before Friday, 16 April 2027 will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee of $75.00. Cancellations made after Friday, 16 April will not be refunded.

Substitutes are welcome as long as the request for the substitution is from the original attendee, attendance eligibility is met by the substitute, and the original and substitute attendee are from the same organization.

*Student Registration Fee Eligibility:

  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate students
  • Full-time interns and cooperative education students

Required Student Proof:

  • Official documentation from your University indicating the semester during which the meeting will occur; the number of credit hours registered; and the number of credit hours considered full-time by your University for the applicable semester and student type (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, etc.).

    We do not accept certificates from the National Student Clearinghouse unless the other required information listed above is also provided.

Hotel & Meeting Site

The Huntsville Marriott at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama will serve as the location for all meeting sessions as well as lodging. Rooms will be available to reserve at an exclusive discounted JANNAF rate. Reservations will be accepted beginning in early March.

GSA FY2027 rate plus 15% tax and $2.00 local fee* 

Rate on this page will be updated when GSA FY2027 rate is known. For reference, the GSA FY2026 rate is $134. Tax and fee rates are subject to change.

*Federal government employees' reservations may be eligible for exemption from state and local occupancy taxes. Guidance will be provided before the room block opens. 

The Huntsville Marriott at the Space and Rocket Center offers complimentary on-site parking for those who choose to drive to the meeting or rent a vehicle.

 


 

Huntsville Travel

Huntsville International Airport (HSV) is 10 miles from the hotel—approximately 15 minutes by car. Alternatively, Nashville International Airport (BNA) is roughly two hours from the hotel by car, and is serviced by a broader range of airlines. 

The Barrel Room bar and Southern Chop restaurant are both easily accessible within the Huntsville Marriott at the Space and Rocket Center for dining. The hotel is also within walking distance of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center

Six car rental companies have locations at HSV, and ten car rental companies have locations at BNA.

Taxi and rideshare services including Uber and Lyft are also available at HSV and the surrounding area.

Public transportation is not easily accessible from the hotel, however rental cars and rideshare and taxi services will allow you to reach most nearby dining and entertainment options within five to ten minutes.
