The December 2017 meeting will be held at the Newport News Marriott at City Center in Newport News, Virginia. Newport News City Center is a mixed-use development with restaurants, shops and entertainment establishments all within walking distance of the hotel, and just a short 15 minute ride from the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. DoD employees must follow specific travel guidelines/restrictions as posted on the meeting website, with respect to which of the area airports should be used, as well as restrictions regarding use of personal vehicles, taxis, or rental cars.

The Newport News Marriott at City Center does not offer airport shuttle service.
Ground transportation costs range from approximately $17 for a taxi from the Newport News/Williamsburg airport to over $100 for a taxi or shuttle from the Richmond airport. More information can be found on the airports’ websites. If attending classified sessions at NASA Langley Research Center, attendees will need to drive; carpooling with other attendees is strongly encouraged due to limited parking.
Amtrak has a station in Newport News, just five miles / 15 minutes from the Newport News Marriott at City Center. A taxi between the train station and the hotel will cost approximately $16.

At both the Courtyard Newport News AIRPORT and the Courtyard Newport News YORKTOWN, the JANNAF discounted rate is $93 per night plus applicable tax. Both hotels offers complimentary airport shuttle service (between 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.) to/from the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, and complimentary wi-fi service for guests. Additionally, for JANNAF attendees, both of the Courtyard hotels will also provide complimentary shuttle transportation between their hotel and the Newport News Marriott at City Center on a limited pre-set schedule.
Each individual is responsible for his/her own reservation. These discounted rooms will be held for JANNAF attendees until the cut-off date of Monday, 27 November 2017, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, or until they sell out, whichever comes first.
Reservations may be made either online (recommended) or by phone. When making your reservation online, please be sure to reserve your room via the JANNAF reservation link for the specific Courtyard location (AIRPORT or YORKTOWN) provided to the left under "Reservations" or below, to ensure that you receive the JANNAF discounted rate at the Courtyard Newport News AIRPORT or Courtyard Newport News YORKTOWN, and so that your reservation is counted toward the JANNAF room block commitment. If someone else will be making your reservation on your behalf, please share the link with them. If you are a Marriott Rewards member, you can still earn rewards for your stay when reserving your room in the JANNAF block!
