Transportation, Hotel and Area

The May 2018 meeting will be held at the Hilton Long Beach in Long Beach, California. Long Beach is a working port with a vibrant downtown and easily accessible beaches. A variety of restaurants, shops and entertainment options are all within a short walk or free and quick bus ride from the hotel. Three nearby airports offer convenient arrival by air, and the hotel is near major interstates for easy access by car.

Three airports serve the area, listed in order by distance from the hotel:

Ground Transportation
Driving time between the hotel and any of the area airports will vary by time of day.
The Hilton Long Beach does not offer their own airport shuttle service.

Ground transportation costs from the Long Beach Airport range from $1.25 for the Long Beach Transit bus to downtown Long Beach, to $25 for a taxi. If traveling between the hotel and the John Wayne/Orange County Airport, expect to pay approximately $50 for a taxi. Transportation between the hotel and LAX ranges from $17 each way for Prime Time Shuttle to approximately $50 for a taxi. Discounted Ground Transportation Option: JANNAF attendees can take advantage of discounted rates for shared-ride van service (and other levels of service) via Prime Time Shuttle, whether you are flying into Los Angeles International Airport, Long Beach Airport, or John Wayne/Orange County Airport. If renting a car or driving a personal vehicle, the Hilton Long Beach is offering a $15/day discounted self-parking rate (with in/out priveleges) to JANNAF attendees. If staying at the hotel, inform the front desk agent when checking in that you are parking a car; your discounted parking will be charged to your guest room. If you are local or staying elsewhere and will be driving to the Hilton Long Beach each day, be sure to get your parking ticket validated prior to returning to the garage at the end of the day in order to get the JANNAF discounted rate.

  • Best Western Plus at the Convention Center
    517 East 1st Street, Long Beach, CA 90802, approximately 1 mile from the Hilton Long Beach.
    Rooms will be available until 17 May 2018, or until they're sold out, whichever comes first.
    Rooms with Two Double Beds - $173 per night plus tax (15.3%). No King rooms available.
    Room Rates include:

    Parking is $17 per night.

    All room types - $149 per night plus tax (15.3%).

NOTE: Each individual is responsible for his/her own reservation. Transportation between any alternate accommodations and the Hilton Long Beach is the responsibility of the attendee.

  • Federal and State of California employees may be exempt from the City of Long Beach Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT). Please review the requirements and, if qualified, complete the Long Beach Transient Occupancy Tax Exemption Form. Submit the form and other required documentation at the time of payment for your room.

For those with confirmed reservations at the Hilton Long Beach:
If you have a reservation at the Hilton and need to cancel or make a change to your reservation, you can do so via the Hilton Reservation website with your reservation confirmation number, or by calling the toll free number provided below. Please make note of the Hilton reservation cancellation policy: cancellations must be made no less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid paying a cancellation penalty.
