Author Guidelines

Primary authors of abstracts will recieve all communication regarding their abstract/paper.

On this page, authors of accepted papers and presentations will find the information needed to successfully format, complete, and submit your paper for the 13th MSS / 11th LPS / 10th SPS Joint Subcommittee Meeting and PIB Meeting, along with important deadline information. Please refer to this site often for program updates and author alerts.

Begin writing paper. Factor at least 3 weeks for internal and/or customer review into your personal timeline in order to meet paper and presentation due dates.

Make sure your JANNAF Portal account is active and you can log in. Don't have one? Apply now. A Portal account is required to view Preliminary Program and to Register for the meeting.

Deadline for changes to Meeting Invitation and Preliminary Program.
16 Sep 2019
Invitation, Preliminary Program, and registration instructions posted online.
7 Oct 2019
Deadline for award nominations.
7 Oct 2019
Due date for Student papers being considered for Best Student Paper award.

Changes to Final Program due.

Paper and Paper/Presentation Clearance Forms due. Author must have active Portal account to upload.

Last day to make JANNAF discounted rate reservations at Hilton Tampa Downtown.
NOTE: JANNAF discounted rooms could sell out earlier than this date.

Presentations due. Author must have an active JANNAF Portal account to upload.
6 Dec 2019
Pay by this date to qualify for discounted meeting registration fee (all attendees).
Deadline for completion of online Registration Form.
9 Dec 2019
Start date for MSS/LPS/SPS Joint Subcommittee Meeting and PIB Meeting.

* Monday, 2 September and Monday, 11 November are Federal holidays. Therefore, deadlines have shifted by one day as indicated.

We strongly recommend visiting the Author Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) where you'll find information about:

  • making changes to your paper title or author list

  • presenter registration for the meeting

JANNAF adheres to its "no paper, no podium" policy. Papers are due on Tuesday, 12 November 2019. There is no page limit.

Presentations are due on Monday, 25 November 2019. If your paper is accepted, please plan to submit your presentation by the due date to ensure the best outcome. Be aware that limited assistance will be available onsite and that presentations submitted at the meeting will be uploaded to the session laptop as-is.

Thirty minutes, unless noted in the program, is allotted for presentations and includes a post-presentation question/answer and discussion period.

Paper/Presentation Clearance Form

Paper/presentation clearance forms will must be submitted for all accepted papers and presentations. A single form should be submitted for each paper and the related presentation. Forms are due on Tuesday, 12 November 2019, and should be submitted per the upload instructions, posted under Author Links on the left side of this page.

Author Reminders

If you receive notification that your abstract has been accepted, be sure to note due dates for paper, presentation, paper/presentation clearance form, and registration in your calendar!

Make sure you have an active JANNAF Secure Portal Account A.S.A.P. More info can be found on the Author FAQ page.

Papers and paper/presentation clearance forms due Tuesday, 12 November 2019.

Changes to the Final Program due Monday, 28 October 2019.

Presentations due Monday, 25 November 2019.

Start EARLY -- allow at least two to three weeks for completion of your internal and/or customer review process! It is not unusual for the review process to take 6 weeks, so be sure to plan accordingly.
