Registration Steps

Registration is now open.

20 May 2022 UPDATE:

The vendor that hosts the JANNAF June meeting payment site is experiencing technical difficulties. The length of the outage is not known at this time. Therefore, we are extending the deadline to pay at the discounted Early registration fee until Monday, 23 May at 11:59 p.m. EDT. We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you haven't already done so, please complete the required meeting registration form a.s.a.p. The payment site outage does not impact the registration form. The link is on the left side of this page under Resources.

The registration process includes one pre-requisite, and two steps.

By 11 May, those planning to attend Classified sessions must also complete an additional step dependent upon their organization type.

Each of these items must be completed to attend/participate in this meeting. They are listed below.

Possess an Active JANNAF Secure Portal Account

An Active JANNAF Secure Portal Account is required in order to attend JANNAF meetings, and is a pre-requisite needed in order to complete Step 1 of the registration process. (A Portal account is NOT needed to pay the registration fee in Step 2).

  • If you currently have an active Portal account, you needn't do more until registration opens in early April.
  • If you do not have an account, your account is inactive/expired, or you have forgotten your password, click HERE. You will find more information about Security/Attendance and Portal Account Requirements, links and instructions to apply for or renew your Portal account, and guidance for forgotten passwords.
  • If you plan to register as a full-time student, there are qualifications you must meet in addition to completing the registration pre-requisites and instructions on this page. Click HERE to view these requirements.

Obtaining a JANNAF Secure Portal account does NOT constitute meeting registration. You must still complete the additional steps indicated below.


Complete the Meeting Registration Form

ALL ATTENDEES must do the following:

  1. Click the button below to go to the online Meeting Registration Form.

  2. Log into your JANNAF Secure Portal account.
  3. Complete the online Meeting Registration Form.

    >> Completion of this online form is required for all attendees, and must be completed by the attendee. There is no financial commitment with this step.
    >> We strongly encourage early completion of the Meeting Registration Form.
    >> Attendees are urged to complete the online Meeting Registration Form no later than Friday, 27 May (additional documentation required by Wednesday, 11 May for classified session attendance).
    >> Submit the online Meeting Registration Form and pay the registration fee on or before 20 May and qualify for the discounted Early registration fee.
    >> Both the online Meeting Registration Form and payment of the registration fee must be completed to have access to the Virtual Reading Room of submitted papers during the meeting. For more information about the Virtual and In-Person Reading Room options, click here.


Additional actions to attend Classified sessions.


If you plan to attend Classified sessions, you must complete the following actions in addition to the registration pre-requisite, Step 1, and Step 2. Follow the directions below dependent upon your organization type.

If you do not plan to attend Classified sessions, do not complete this step.

DoD Employees:

  1. Confirm that you have an active JANNAF Secure Portal Account and submit a completed Meeting Registration Form.
  2. Submit a Visit Authorization Request (VAR) via DISS NO LATER than 11 May 2022.

DoE and NASA Employees, and DoD, DoE, and NASA Contractors:

  1. Confirm that you have an active JANNAF Secure Portal Account and submit a completed Meeting Registration Form.
  2. Submit the JANNAF Security Clearance Certification Form (click to download; download and save before completing) via mail or fax. The form must be received NO LATER than 11 May 2022, and will be provided here when registration opens in early April.
    NOTE: Completed form contains Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and must be handled accordingly.

If your required documentation is not received by 11 May 2022, you WILL NOT be permitted to attend the classified sessions. This is a NASA LaRC incoming visitor policy.


Submit Registration Fee Payment

Payment of your registration fee may be completed independently of registering for the meeting. This step can be completed without an active JANNAF Secure Portal Account, and can be completed on your behalf. A discounted registration fee is available for those who register and pay the fee on or before 20 May 2022. * A discounted registration fee is offered for full time students, interns, and cooperative education students. Students must meet the Security/Attendance and Portal Account Requirements and Student Registration Requirements to qualify for this discount.

Meeting Registration fee includes:

  • Attendance at all technical sessions, specialist sessions, workshops, and town hall and panel meetings, unless restrictions are noted in the program;
  • Participation in all open networking activities throughout the meeting;
  • Complimentary daily morning and afternoon coffee breaks;
  • Access to in-person and Virtual Reading Room (submitted papers) during dates of meeting (login required for Virtual Reading Room);
  • Complimentary copy of recent printed JANNAF Journal, and digital access to additional JANNAF Journals via JDOC (not available to student registrants);
  • Complimentary electronic access (via JDOC) to all published papers and presentations from this meeting. Publications will be accessible approximately 12 weeks after the meeting; additional information will be provided (not available to student registrants).

Onsite Registration / Check-in

The JANNAF Registration desk will be located on the first floor of the Newport News Marriott at City Center. Photo identification is required upon registration or check-in.

NOTE: IF ATTENDING ONE OR MORE CLASSIFIED SESSIONS AT NASA LANGLEY RESEARCH CENTER, you must first obtain your JANNAF badge and NASA Visitor's Pass at the JANNAF Registration desk at Newport News Marriott at City Center. You will not be able to enter the area without these items.

The onsite registration / check-in desk will be open:

  • Sunday, 5 June from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Monday, 6 June through Thursday, 9 June from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, 10 June from 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received on or before Friday, 20 May 2022 will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee of $50.00. Cancellations made after Friday, 20 May 2022 will not be refunded.
