The unclassified portion of the June 2022 meeting will be held at the Newport News Marriott at City Center in Newport News, Virginia. The hotel will serve as the location of all sleeping rooms for JANNAF attendees, as well. The hotel is also just 15 minutes from NASA Langley Research Center where classified sessions will be held.

Travel to the Hotel / Venues

Three airports serve the area, listed in order by distance from the hotel:

The Newport News Marriott at City Center does not offer airport shuttle service.

Ground transportation costs range from approximately $17 for a taxi from the Newport News/Williamsburg airport to over $100 for a taxi or shuttle from the Richmond airport. More information can be found on the airports’ websites. If attending classified sessions at NASA Langley Research Center, attendees will need to drive; carpooling with other attendees is strongly encouraged due to limited parking.

Amtrak has a station in Newport News, just five miles / 15 minutes from the Newport News Marriott at City Center. A taxi between the train station and the hotel will cost approximately $16.

If driving a personal vehicle or renting a car while in Newport News, please note that self-parking is complimentary at the hotel.


Travel Around the Area

Upon arrival at the hotel, you will find yourself within walking distance of several dining and entertainment options. Additional options can be reached in approximately 6 - 10 minutes by car.
