Papers

It is acceptable for this conference to submit presentation charts only. Papers are welcome, but presentation charts are sufficient. Whether the author submits a paper with charts, or submits only charts, an abstract is still required.

Please submit your paper and/or presentation, and publication clearance form by the specified deadline. See the Paper Preparation Guidelines document linked on the left side of this page for useful information when preparing your paper. A template for formatting your paper is available for download here.

Papers are due on 12 September 2022.

Presentations

Thirty minutes, unless noted in the program, is allotted for your presentation and and includes a 5-minute post-presentation question/answer and discussion period. The information contained in the Presentation Preparation Guidelines will assist you in preparing your presentation.

Please note that limited assistance will be available onsite and that presentations submitted at the meeting will be uploaded to the session laptop as-is. Presentations are due on 12 September 2022.

Publication Clearance Form

Publication Clearance Forms are due on 12 September 2022, and are required for all presentations and papers. To download the required form, click here, or click "Publication Clearance Form" on the left side of this page under Resources. All required fields must be completed in order for the form to be accepted. If you also plan to submit a paper, and that paper must be marked with a Distribution Statement different from that of the presentation, another Publication Clearance Form must be submitted for the paper as well. Please mark on the form which document(s) your Publication Clearance Form is accompanying.

For questions regarding completion of your clearance form, or marking your presentation/paper accordingly, contact Atashia Allen (410-992-7302, ext. 204 / aallen@erg.jhu.edu).

Marking Your Presentation/Paper

Distribution Statement Generator

Unclassified presentations and papers are required to have an accurate distribution statement on the first slide or page. Click on the Distribution Statement Generator to answer a few brief questions and generate your distribution statement, which can then be cut and pasted into your first slide/page.

Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

All presentations/papers that have been determined to contain Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) must be marked accordingly. At a minimum, CUI documents should be marked "CUI" or "CONTROLLED" at the top and bottom of each slide/page, and include a CUI designation indicator at the bottom right of the cover or first page/slide. An example can be found on the Unclassified Paper Template, as well as the first page of the JANNAF Publication Clearance Form.

For organization-specific marking guidance, please refer to your security personnel or government sponsor. For additional general marking guidance, please refer to https://www.archives.gov/cui.

Withdraw a Presentation

If circumstances force you to withdraw your presentation, please inform both your session chair and Atashia Allen (aallen@erg.jhu.eduor 410.992.7302, ext. 204) as soon as possible.
