JANNAF January 2026 Meeting

The January 2026 JANNAF meeting will be held 
Monday–Friday, 26–30 January 2026 in Spokane, Washington.

Unclassified sessions will be held at the Spokane Convention Center.
Classified sessions will be held at Fairchild Air Force Base.

This meeting will combine the subcommittees originally scheduled to meet in June 2025 with those scheduled to meet in December 2025. It includes the:

  • 72nd JANNAF Propulsion Meeting (JPM)
  • Programmatic and Industrial Base (PIB) Meeting
    and
  • 53rd Combustion (CS)
  • 41st Airbreathing Propulsion (APS)
  • 41st Exhaust Plume and Signatures (EPSS)
  • 35th Energetic Systems Hazards (ESHS)
  • 19th Modeling and Simulation (MSS)
  • 15th Liquid Propulsion (LPS)
  • 14th Spacecraft Propulsion (SPS)

The overall security level of this meeting is SECRET due to the inclusion of Classified sessions in the program.

To be eligible to attend this meeting, all attendees must both:

  • have an active JANNAF account (apply here), and
  • register to attend.

To be eligible to attend Classified sessions, in addition to the above requirements, attendees must also possess, at minimum, a SECRET U.S. Security Clearance with a need-to-know in the areas of rocket, missile, space, or gun propulsion.

To attend any JANNAF Meeting, you must have an active JANNAF account.

To attend Unclassified Sessions:

  • Confirm JANNAF account is active (apply for one here)
  • Submit your meeting registration form (login required)
  • Pay for your registration (no account needed)

Classified Sessions

19 December - Last day to submit Registration form and VAR or Security Clearance Certification Form - No Exceptions

Registration payment required before badge can be picked up onsite

To add Classified Sessions to your registration, you must:

  • Complete requirements for Unclassified registration
  • Complete additional Classified registration requirement based on your employer
    DOD Employees ONLY: Submit a Visit Authorization Request (VAR) via DISS. Use SMO Code: 0W2X85
    All other attendees: Complete and submit the Security Clearance Certification Form

Be sure you have completed both steps of the registration process prior to your arrival at the on-site check-in desk. Use of your own device is required when registering during the on-site registration period.

Cancellation and Substitution Policy

Cancellations received in writing on or before Friday, 19 December will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee of $75.00. Cancellations made after Friday, 19 December will not be refunded.

Substitutes are welcome as long as the request for substitution is from the original attendee, attendance eligibility is appropriately met by the substitute, and the original and substitute attendee are from the same organization.

*Student Registration Fee Eligibility:

  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate students
  • Full-time interns and cooperative education students

Required Student Proof:

  • Official documentation from your University indicating the semester during which the meeting will occur; the number of credit hours registered; and the number of credit hours considered full-time by your University for the applicable semester and student type (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, etc.).

    We do not accept certificates from the National Student Clearinghouse unless the other required information listed above is also provided.

Meeting Site for Unclassified Sessions

The Spokane Convention Center is located in downtown Spokane, in close walking distance to a variety of food and drink options and public transportation. The convention center is connected to the Doubletree Spokane City Center by an enclosed connector from the Doubletree's third floor, and connected to the Davenport Grand via an enclosed sky bridge from the Davenport Grand's second floor.

If you need to drive to Unclassified sessions, you can park at the convention center garage and indicate you are attending JANNAF to receive a discounted rate of $10/day. In/out privileges are not included, so each re-entry will incur another $10 charge. You can enter the garage via N. Spokane Falls Ct., just off W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

Shuttle bus service will be provided to and from FAFB on a limited schedule. For greater flexibility, you may drive yourself to the sessions so that you can come and go as your please. Only those who have completed registration for the JANNAF meeting and the additional step for Classified sessions will be permitted on the shuttle bus to the base, on the base itself, or into the building where Classified sessions will be held. 

 


 

Spokane Travel

Spokane International Airport (GEG) is the 2nd largest in Washington. With 8 airlines providing direct flights from 19 cities, plenty of flight options are available. 

The airport is a short 7.7 miles from the hotels - an approximately 12 minute car-ride. 

Spokane Transit Authority (STA) provides bus service from GEG to STA Plaza in downtown Spokane. The trip takes approximately 20 minutes, and costs $2 each way.

Eight car rental companies have locations at GEG.

Ride share services including Uber and Lyft are available at GEG and the surrounding area, and travel from GEG to downtown is estimated at roughly $15-$20 for Uber or $18-$42 for Lyft.
